Dawn Schulberg - Owner/Instructor Dawn Schulberg - Owner/Instructor Dawn has been working in the dance industry for over 30 years and has been instructing for over 20. Dawn was the producer, director, and choreographer for several productions including; Guys and Dolls, American Pride, I’ll be Home for Christmas, Emmanuel, Journey to Bethlehem, A Christmas Carol, and Rollin’ Down the River, to name a few. Dancers look forward to coming to the studio because of her passion for dance and the enthusiasm and dedication that she brings. Dawn and her husband Jerry have three children, Jason, Cassie and Callie along with several beautiful grandchildren.


MissingImg Cassie Schulberg - Owner/Instructor

Cassie Norgren has been dancing since the age of three. She has studied all types of dance, and is a former member of the tap company “Keane Sense of Rhythm Youth Tap Ensemble”. She has studied dance in New York where she received training from choreographers such as Jared Grimes, Derek Grant, Germaine Salsberg, Ray Hesselink, and Lynn Schwab She has performed with the “Chicago Human Rhythm Project” and has taken class from great artists such as Lane Alexander, Diane “Lady Di” Walker, and Jeni LeGon. She has also had the privilege to work with the Prior Lake Players and choreographed for “Grease” and “The Wizard of Oz.” Cassie loves working with kids and enjoys watching the progress that all of her students make from year to year.


MissingImg Callie Schulberg - Owner/Instructor

Callie Schulberg is experienced in all forms of dance but specializes in Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. After graduating, she moved to New York City to train at Broadway Dance Center as an Intern. She was fortunate to work with various notable instructors and choreographers such as Jeff Amsden, Sheila Barker, Michele Assaf, Kat Wildish, Michelle Barber, Luam and Billy Larson. After New York, she then took an opportunity to travel to Tropea, Italy to study and perform at the Broadway A Tropea Festival where she worked with such artists as Desmond Richardson, Mandy Moore, Wes Veldink, and Jessica Hendricks. Callie is a former company member of Crash Dance. She feels blessed to be able to pursue her love of dance not only as a career, but also as a performer, teacher, and choreographer.


MissingImg Cheryl Failor - Instructor

Cheryl began dancing at the age of 6 and continued taking dance until high school. She then was part of the high school danceline - the Roosevelt Rockettes. The Rockettes performed not only pom, pom dances but also tap and jazz on the stage. After graduating high school, Cheryl attended college in Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in business. After a long absence from dance, she resumed taking classes in tap, jazz and ballet. Cheryl then began teaching for Premiere in 2003. She has always had a passion for dance, and feels blessed to be able to share that passion with others. Cheryl is married to a wonderful man, and has four daughters who dance at Premiere. Cheryl believes dance is a great physical and mental sport, and she just plain LOVES TO DANCE!!


MissingImg Tiffany Boozier - Instructor

Tiffany began her studio dance training at the age of three, and has an extensive background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Kickline, Musical Production, and Hip-Hop. Tiffany is a graduate of Apple Valley High School where she was a member of the AVaire Dance Team, Captain of the Varsity Football Cheerleading Squad and student of the AVHS Educational Dance Department. Tiffany studied dance at the University of Minnesota and performed for two years with modern dance company Vox Medusa, and was also a member of the Minnesota Monsters AFL Performance Team. Tiffany has taken several Master classes with dance professionals from around the country. Tiffany has been a dance instructor at various studios throughout the metro area as well as coached and choreographed for high school cheer and dance teams.


MissingImg Dani Wolf - Instructor

Dani Wolf recieved a BA in Dance from the University of Minnesota. While attending the U of M, she had the opportunity to perform works by Jose Limon, Carl Flink, and HIJACK. She has also studied at the Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts focusing on the styles and choreography of Bob Fosse, Tommy Tune, Twyla Tharp and Michael Bennet. Prior to attending the U of M, Dani traveled and performed with the international and educational performing arts organization, "Up With People." In addition to her dancetraining, she is also a STOTT Certified pilates instructor as well as an ACE-certified personal trainer.


MissingImg Lori Smith - Instructor

Lori Smith started dancing in 1969 at the age of five taking lessons from the Leffler Sisters in Bloomington. In 1974 the Leffler’s closed their studio. Lori then moved to the Barbi Lee Dance Studio in Edina where she studied Tap, Jazz and Ballet. She started her competition years in 1976 when she was 12 years old. Loving every minute of dance she decided to start assistant teaching at the age of 15 at the Barbi Lee Dance Studio. In 1981 she started teaching classes; therefore, her assisting days were over. In 2001, Lori decided to make the biggest change in her life teaching for Prior Lake Dance Studio now Premiere Dance Academy. In 1985 Lori married Gary Smith and they have resided in Savage since 2000 with their two children Dustin and Korina. Lori really enjoys teaching dance because it gives her a great feeling doing something she has loved all her life.


MissingImg Kristin Blatzheim - Instructor

Kristin holds a BA in Dance, a Minnesota K-12 teaching license in dance, and has worked at Premiere since 2006. In addition to her classes at Premiere, Kristin is currently the director of dance at Apple Valley High School and has taught dance in the past at Kennedy High School, Jefferson High School, and FAIR Downtown. She also performs professionally with the Eclectic Edge Ensemble, a jazz company performing in the Twin cities. Kristin continues to freelance choreograph for musicals and dance shows in the cities, expanding her repertory of dance experiences and opportunities.


DarioMejia Dario Mejia - Instructor

Dario Mejia has been following his dreams ever since he was young. He started his formal dance training at the age of eight and has been pursuing this career path ever since. Receiving training through Larkin Dance Studio and graduating from Mahtomedi High School with honors, he became well prepared for his future in the world of dance. This lead him to become a National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts award winner for dance in 2000. Dario continued his education at the Julliard School in Manhattan to later join the Mark Morris Dance Group. Recently, Dario performed in the film “Across the Universe,”with director Julie Taymor. He continued to travel and perform with Nevada Ballet Theatre in 07’and Luna Negra Dance Theatre in 08’. He is now returning from Chicago to pursue a career in teaching and choreography for the community of the twin cities where he was raised.


MissingImg Lani Lutz - Office Manager, Instructor

Lani started dancing at a young age, receiving her studio training from Premiere Dance Academy. After graduating high school, she went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and recently graduated in December 2009. Lani focused much of her attention in college on understanding dance history, finding the meaning behind movement, and researching different styles of dance. In Eau Claire, she was a member of the “Concert Dance Company” which provided students with the opportunity to perform and choreograph in a company setting. Lani set and performed in pieces that were presented at American College Dance Festivals in Wyoming, Kansas, Michigan, Maine, and Pennsylvania. In addition to the dance company, Lani had the opportunity to set movement on singers at the university and was involved in choreographing several Opera and choir productions. Now back in the Twin Cities, Lani has choreographed Curtain Call Theatres production of “Annie” and Friendship church’s “Esmeralda”. Lani is thrilled to be back at Premiere and anxious to learn more about the wonderful world of dance!


Lauren Lauren Kubitschek - Instructor

Lauren Kubitschek started dancing at age 5, in a small studio near her home town. She tried various other sports like diving, gymnastics and karate, but she always found herself wanting to be back in the dance studio. She started competing when she was 11 at a well established studio in Forest Lake. Along with studio dancing she continued her training at St. Paul Conservatory For Performing Artists. She attended SPCPA until graduating in 2008, she left with extensive training in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern and Pilates. She began teaching dance at age 16 and has been doing it ever since. Lauren has taught various types of dance to dancers of all ages and all abilities. She is currently attending Hamline University where she is majoring in English and Education, with accompanying minors of Psychology and American Sign Language. Lauren feels so blessed to be the newest member of the PDA family and so blessed to be able do what I love everyday: dance.


Kaley Kaley Scherer - Instructor

Kaley Scherer has been dancing since she was eight years old. She grew up dancing at Premiere Dance Academy for ten years where she took classes of many styles; tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, and kick line. Kaley was a part of her high schools dance team and a co-captain her senior year. After graduating she participated on the College of Saint Benedicts Dance Team where she danced both competitively and recreationally in jazz, hip hop, and kick line. She then moved to New York City and studied at Broadway Dance Center in the Professional Program. Kaley worked with many notable choreographers such as Derek Mitchell, Calen Kurka, Chris Hale, and Autumn Marie Dones. She also had the opportunity to work with Ashlé Dawson, Ellenore Scott, Tyce Diorio, and Kent Boyd all from “So You Think You Can Dance.”


Caitlin Caitlin Fitzpatrick - Instructor

Caitlin's dance background is extensive, including training at Minnesota Dance Theatre and the Dance Institute, and performing with MDT’s Repertory Ensemble. Caitlin has also attended School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West and American Ballet Theatre summer programs. She has performed with MDT as a trainee, apprentice and company member where she was featured in Loyce Houlton’s Nutcracker Fantasy and Carmina Burana. She has performed in works by Balanchine, Feld, Fricke, Loyce and Lise Houlton, Petipa, Rhoden and Sayegh among others. Caitlin first began teaching at Minnesota Dance Theatre and the Dance Institute under the direction of Gloria Govrin. She has graduated from the University of Minnesota with bachelor’s degree in biology and pre-medicine.


Andy Andy Ausland - Guest Instructor/Choreographer

Andy Ausland is a choreographer and composer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the past 13 years, he has been touring and producing shows as the co-creator of Ten Foot Five Productions. Ausland received his dance training from Larkin Dance Studio in Maplewood, Minnesota, where he trained for 15 years under the direction of Shirley, Molly, and Michelle Larkin. Ausland, Buckets and Tap Shoes and Ten Foot Five have performed for companies such as Best Buy, Target, Ecolab, MTV, and VH1. Ausland has had the honor of performing in Finland, Russia, Austria, Malta, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Los Angeles and New York City. He is excited to be teaching and sharing his gifts. Dance.”
